Purple haired mermaid/unicorn hybrid, DJ, fashion blogger and musician Arii Jade drops her debut single, Now You’re Gone, a bubblegum-popping, ‘driving in the car with the top down’ summer bop that channels her inner Ava Max/Dua Lipa, produced by Will Henderson and mastered by Chris Chetland at KOG Studios.
After pursuing her DJ career, playing some of the biggest parties both in Aotearoa and around the globe, Arii returns to her roots as a musician and songwriter with a single that shimmers with her whimsical personality and aesthetic.
Speaking of her track, Venezuelan-born Arii explains, “Now You’re Gone has been a long time in the making. The lyrics describe the process of growing out of toxic friendships and relationships and coming out the other side.” The pop-house offering is accompanied by an equally vibe-y remix, taking the track a step further with a bass-house/tech-house drop, perfect for the late-night club scene and taking inspiration from Chainsmokers, R3hab and Calvin Harris.
