Off Jed’s upcoming 10-track second album, Brunch, the song offers a story of pity over a quintessentially Jed eccentric pop rock sound.
“Feeling Sad is quite simply a song about an entitled person not quite getting what they thought they would out of love,” says Jed.
Jed recorded all the instruments himself for this track with the help of Lee Prebble at Surgery Studios for engineering and co-producing.
The single follows-on from, Playstation and Porn and She’s The One both of which received playlisting at Hauraki and some of the b-nets. His latest single Sad Together has also been playlisted on Bnets across New Zealand.
Known for his musical balance between eccentricity and energy combined with intimacy and musical sensitivity, Jed Parsons maintains a focus on catchy hooks and lyrical prowess.
Parsons’ sound is a culmination of his rich and varied background as a touring musician, which has taken him around the world and into the studio with the likes of nomad, Pacific Heights and Mel Parsons.
Catch Jed Parsons live in Christchurch at Cassels Blue Smoke on December 18 for the '2020 - You’re Fired' gig with special guests including Goodwill and The Knew. Tickets available HERE
