Over the past 7 months more than 53 of New Zealand’s best bands and artists have graced the Live at Yours stage. Whilst there, they've performed not only their own material but also delivered unforgettable covers . Who could forget Tim Finn's tribute to Gwen Stefani? Or the Mint Chicks doing Nirvana's Polly as only the Mint Chicks could do! Gasoline Cowboy delivered their unique take on Metallica, whilst Deja Voodoo threw respect to Dragon! Cut off Your Hands gave Split Enz a run for their money with their rendition of Shark Attack...whilst elsewhere genre wars were put aside as indie kids covered hip hop, hip hop covered rock...and so on and so on..
Shihad, The Checks, The Veils, The Datsuns and Evermore are amongst those NZ artists, now living overseas, who have stopped in to perform during their travels. Whilst everyone from Tim Finn, Don McGlashan and Bic Runga through to The Mint Chicks, Pluto, Charlie Ash and Steriogram have taken to the stage over the last few months.
This Sunday in a very special U Choose 40 we'll be counting down the best of these covers, as voted by C4 viewers. This show promises to deliver more than 3 hours of exquisite live NZ music like you've never seen before. All of the covers are available to view in the viewing room of our website - http://www.c4tv.co.nz/Interact/Video/tabid/74/Default.aspx
