Through blessed alignment and some luck, comes a killer remix that reimagines Imugi’s Swimming through shimmering waves of house, 2-step and UK garage.

Cooked up by songwriter-producer Nate Fox, (known for his work in ‘The Social Experiment’ collective and his soulful production/collaborations with Chance the Rapper, Jamila Woods, Dram, Kehlani and more), Atlantan UK garage wizard Sushi CeeJ, and Canadian instrumentalist and beat maker The Kount (AKA Koal Harrison), this version of Swimming embraces a unique, progressive Fox-produced sound that delivers the vibe.
The initial track featuring long-time collaborator and friend Hans., was one half of a double single release with Memories, both dropped shortly after their ethereal sophomore EP Dragonfruit was unleashed at the end of 2020.
The fateful link up with Nate was conjured in the wake of Swimming’s release, when Concord Music Publishing approached the electronic duo of Carl Ruwhiu and Yery Cho to suggest an Imugi X Nate Fox connection.
Responsible for creating some of the most artfully sophisticated music in contemporary pop, Nate Fox worked his magic on ‘Swimming’, and with Sushi Ceej and The Kount also on board, delivered an atmospheric electro-smooth version of Swimming as a futuristic hyper-pop dance track.
Having crafted one of the best local releases in 2020, Imugi continue to impress by consistently shining with warm, vibing tracks, oozing with understated authenticity. Look out for more new music as 2021 is geared towards a pivotal year for this charming duo!
