Two Hats as told by Paul The Kid
"Ya might be thinking this "two hats" thing is metaphorical for the classic Red Hat, Green Hat meme for managing multiple tasks and blah blah but nah, it is legit about wearing two hats. Some call it steeze but the story is that my night lamp wears two hats to keep the light dim. When the beat was made I just saw me lil ol' lamp and sung "Sun shining down on my head, I got two hats on my head".. I know.. DEEP, but it was silly and gets stuck in ya head."
"The verse on the other hand is the story of when I was in charge of getting VIP tix to Laneway Festival and... yeah I failed. The team wasn't stoked as I also parked in all their cars on top of the bad news. We then tripped balls and wore 3 pairs of sunnies that day.. damn really missed the opportunity of "I got three pairs on face." - Sequel?"
"Musically I wanted to have the vibe of that Summer day at Laneway so a jazzy house beat was what I laid down with a switch up to the classic head bop bass drop of the verse. The whole song really revolves around the juxtaposition between the chorus into the verse. It wakes ya up and gets ya movin'. FLIP IT!"
