New Music Collaboration from Sam Charlesworth and Sophie Brown

23 August 2021 - 0 Comments

Look Mum I’m On TV! is the product of a collaboration between young kiwi artists Sam Charlesworth (18yrs) and Sophie Brown aka 'girl'. (17yrs). Written over the span of a day, it is their first song together and brings together some punchy guitar licks, distinctive vocals and youthful harmonies.

The song is a lyrical journey, a story of about a young boy/girl who feels disconnected from their family and walks the fine line of the criminal world. This complex story is all wrapped up in a catchy melody that will leave you singing in the car and dancing for days.

The young creative minds of Sam Charlesworth and Sophie Brown (girl.) first met through Play It Strange where they were both song competition award winners. Sophie got in touch in the wake of the release of Sam’s single PaNiC. to collaborate and make music together. After this cyber encounter Sophie and Sam created 3 songs over a matter of weeks, one of which was Look Mum I’m On TV! . The single was produced by young NZ producer Harry Charles and was recorded in a Devonport studio over the space of two sessions.
