Auckland Gothic Rock artist Black Velvet Butterfly is back with a poignant new single and music video entitled Colours (Two Painters).

“This is a song about the death of my mother, described through the analogy of painting.” explains BVB. “Losing my mother at 20 is something I've never gotten over and is an inspiration for many of my songs.”

Whilst this is a mournful track, the melody and instrumentation gives it an uplifting sense of yearning and the music video swirls and flickers in gothic themed monochrome to the beat of the music.
