Music News - 17-Year-Old Singer/Songwriter James Constable: New Single 'Sundress' Out Now

James Constable is independently releasing his new single Sundress to all platforms today, the fourth single from his June 2021 album Tui.
Sundress is, in many ways, a departure from his previous singles The World’s Greatest Number and Maria, Let Him Go. Rather than the electric indie rock of those songs, the new single has a much more laid-back, acoustic feel, with spacey backing vocals. However, it still retains the catchy melodies and rhythmic drive that define the Tui album.
As with the rest of the album, Sundress was mainly recorded at James’ home studio, with vocal recording and some mixing taking place at the SOLE Music Academy, where James is a student. Much of the mixing took place with the assistance of production teacher Will McGillivray (formerly of Nomad).
Sundress is also the fourth and final single from James’ album Tui, released last June.
