Outrageous Fortune is the good old Kiwi comedy-drama series about the West family – the wrong sort of people trying to do the right thing when the rewards for going straight are neither immediate nor bountiful.
Some may argue that you can’t get more true Kiwi than the Wests… and the Wests sure love their Kiwi music. From Hello Sailor and Th’ Dudes, to Op Shop and The Finn Brothers, one thing they do have taste in is good kiwi rock music - ideally blasting from the Holden speakers.
Music From Outrageous Fortune featuring Goodshirt, Dance Exponents, Op Shop, Greg Johnson, Goodnight Nurse, The Datsuns, The Black Seeds, The Finn Brothers, Dimmer, The Veils, Deja Voodoo… and more. Bloody Good.
The show, now in its third series on TV3, has won numerous awards and become a true part of Kiwi culture. What more could you want… the soundtrack?!
