MUSIC VIDEOS

Definitely the toughest round ever ... ! A record 93 applications. We have never had that many applications in ten years of music video funding.

Of the 93, 54 made it to the first shortlist. That's 54 close contenders. But we only have the budget to do about 16-18 projects per round.

In fact, we will do 18 projects this round. Each project will get $5,000 to make a music video. Decisions are based on airplay potential after testing the songs with music video broadcasters and taking into account current radio priorities.

* Soulfire Entertainment - Hannah Donald - 'Thinking Of You'
* Universal Music - Elemeno P - 'Nirvana'
* Universal Music - K'Lee - 'Lifetime Left To Wait'
* Warner Music - Anika Moa - 'Falling In Love Again'
* Warner Music - The Feelers - 'Fishing For Lisa'
* Warner Music - Nurture - 'Hey Girl'
* Wildside Records - Rubicon - 'Rockstar'
* Zany Productions - Savant - 'Underground'

NEW RECORDINGS

Another 8 new recording projects out of a field of 129 applications. Each project will get $5,000 to record a song for radio. Decisions are based on commercial radio airplay potential, using commercial radio expertise and experience and testing the songs with commercial radio programmers.
