Not Done Loving is the debut single from 23-year-old Wellington-based, Wairarapa-raised Samoan artist, Mozie (Moana Leota).
This stand-out new single is all about the talented and soulful Mozie honouring her truth, which results in beautifully vulnerable storytelling. Accompanied by a visually stunning music video that will give you chills, this track is set to connect with listeners' hearts - as well as their ears.
Not Done Loving was recorded and mixed at Surgery Studios with Lee Prebble and mastered by Mike Gibson at Munki Music. It also features Mozie’s band - Hunter Paranihi, Ato Bado, James Illingworth and Johnny Lawrence.
Filmed at Waiorongomai, South Wairarapa, the self-directed music video for Not Done Loving was made with a crew of family and friends - including her mum being her ‘stand-in’ for storyboarding, her dad being her assistant, her uncle’s Road Runner classic car, and two close friends for hairstyling and make-up.
Coming from a family of singers, Mozie’s first professional work was at the age of 11 when she became the voice of the new Interislander commercial, followed by the Tip Top Real New Zealand Summer commercial.
In the past year, after receiving her Bachelor of Creativity, she has been providing backing vocals for well-known NZ artists Louis Baker and Bret Mckenzie, as well as performing at commercial and private events - but now it is time to reveal her solo project Mozie with a magical first single - Not Done Loving, made with the support of NZ on Air.
