Sticky Fingers are set to take the stage once again for Kiwi fans with three August shows in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.
New album Lekkerboy is the perfect reflection of the journey Sticky Fingers have been on thus far. Written over a 2.5-year span and a pandemic, it’s the first time in thirteen years that the band were isolated from each other, living in different places across the country. The band eventually reconnected to make some of their best work to date.
“Even when the world stops our story keeps unraveling and we’re good at capturing that story. Lekkerboy is open to your own interpretation and the poetry is left for the taking...But for me this album is raw and already feels nostalgic - It’s big and full of heart,” said the band.
Lekkerboy has seen a 6-month rollout with 8 singles and video clips leading into the release, and now the band is excited to deliver the album to fans all over the world. Catch Sticky Fingers in arenas across New Zealand this August for the first time in years.
August 11th – Hamilton – Globox Arena
August 12th - Auckland – Trusts Arena
August 13th – Christchurch – Christchurch Arena
Tickets are on sale from 12pm April 28th www.stickyfingerstheband.com
Sticky Fingers finished up touring a few years ago in sold out arenas across Australia. Since then, the band have surpassed over 1.5 Billion DSP streams to date and the new album being applauded by the likes of Rolling Stone, Wonderland Magazine, Clash, American Songwriter, Fred Perry, Notion, Flaunt Magazine and Earmilk to name a few, it’s clear that Sticky Fingers have still got it.
