KOTA The Friend (US) announces rescheduled New Zealand tour with 2022 Flight Night

11 May 2022 - 0 Comments

Frontier Touring and Illusive Presents are excited to announce that after rescheduling his FOTO tour in both 2020, and again in 2021 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, American recording artist, songwriter and producer KOTA The Friend will finally perform for fans in both Australia and New Zealand when his Flight Night 2022 tour arrives this December.

“I’m excited to finally have a chance to perform in front of my friends in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. Bringing the Flight Night experience down under is going to be an amazing vibe.” – KOTA The Friend

Having self-released a massive five new studio albums since he was originally meant to tour back in 2020, the Brooklyn-born artist will perform at upgraded Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland venues with increased capacities, including Metro Theatre (NSW) on Wednesday 7 December, 170 Russell (VIC) on Thursday 8 December, and Tuning Fork (NZ) on Tuesday 13 December. The Brisbane show will remain at Woolly Mammoth (QLD) on the rescheduled date of Saturday 10 December.

Tickets for the original performances will be valid for the rescheduled dates with no further action required. Patrons are encouraged to #keepyourtickets, but those unable to attend a new show date may obtain a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted prior to Wednesday 8 June via the official ticketing agency.

December 2022 rescheduled tour dates:
Wed 7 Dec – Metro Theatre, Sydney NSW (prev. Fri 19 Nov 2021 @ Oxford Art Factory)
Thu 8 Dec – 170 Russell, Melbourne VIC (prev. Sat 20 & Sun 21 Nov 2021 @ Howler Bar)
Sat 10 Dec – Woolly Mammoth, Brisbane QLD (prev. Thu 18 Nov 2021)
Tue 13 Dec – Tuning Fork, Auckland NZ (prev. Tue 23 Nov 2021 @ Neck of The Woods)

With a sturdy discography of seven studio albums under his belt including latest releases Up (2022), Lyrics to Go, Vol.3 (2022), To Kill A Sunrise (2021), Lyrics to Go, Vol.2 (2021), Everything (2020) & Lyrics to Go, Vol 1 (2020), KOTA The Friend remains an independent artist, being cited as turning down three major record deals. He instead opted to start his own label and apparel store, FLTBYS, ensuring him full control over his music, videography, and other creative outputs.

‘Kota is an artist that, at this point, is of the modern poster children for independence.’ EUPHORIA.

Third time’s the charm for this KOTA The Friend tour, so jump in if you haven’t already and get your ticket!
