There is little more an artist loves than to see their work plastered all over the city and there's a chance they can do so with this year's Fringe Festival.
The New Zealand Fringe Festival and Beck's Beer are please to announce today a competition for artists and graphic designers to create a poster for Fringe 09. Entries close on 31 January 2009.
The winner will have the satisfaction of seeing their crafty, original design splashed all over Wellington City for the duration of Fringe 09. Walls, bollards, shop fronts, and all sorts of nooks and crannies will be emblazoned with their handiwork.
But wait, there's more! The winner also gets a Beck's-tastic prize pack courtesy of Beck's, including 4-dzen Beck's, a Beck's shirt, Beck's hat, Beck's bag, Beck's USB stick and a Beck's bottle-opener to crack into the delicious beer.
Participants need to conjure up their own original poster design for the 2009 New Zealand Fringe Festival it can be anything their imaginations spit out, as long as it also includes the Fringe 09 and Beck's logos, which can be downloaded at www.fringe.co.nz
Posters will be judged on creativity and artistic merit and the use of the logos by Beck's brand manager Dave Pearce and the Fringe 09 crew. And because this is beer we're talking about, entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
