Ethereal is the sophomore single from Silcrow post their name change from 'Close To The Bone'.
The initial ideas for the song were convinced around the same time as the band's very first release, Sink In, and developed through the years and many demos later into what they have now. It shows a softer side of the band musically and vocally and sits
well in the middle of their live set as a departure from the crushing riffs of their heavier songs.
The lyrical focus of this song is simple and clear, a feeling most humans are familiar with, uncertainty. The soft delivery of the verses and the wide open rock sounds of the chorus make it clear that these lyrics were written during a difficult decision-making period for vocalist Lorenzo.
