The well researched resource, written by industry insider and long-serving champion of local music Bryan Staff, and researched by the late Sheran Ashley comprehensively covers the century long history of recorded music in New Zealand, from humble beginnings to the present day.
More than just a good, informative read, 'For The Record' is packed with facts and figures including lists of top selling New Zealand releases of all time, music awards results dating back to 1965, a complete list of APRA Silver Scroll songwriting award winners and screeds of New Zealand record label trivia.
