Indie-pop artist Thuryah has released her debut EP poetry i don’t write, accompanied by a serene music video for her latest single The Nile, beautifully shot in Cairo, Egypt. poetry i don’t write delves into themes of reminiscence, self-reflection and the emotional catharsis that follows heartbreak. Today, Thuryah shared the official video of her new single The Nile. Directed by Thuryah herself, the video was shot in Cairo, Egypt, inspired by her emotional journey while traveling to Egypt burdened by heartbreak. The video showcases Thuryah walking through Cairo's streets, driving amidst the cityscape, and sailing on the Nile River, reflecting the bittersweet emotions she carried throughout her distinctive experience. poetry i don’t write envelops you in ethereal vocals, vulnerable confessions, and a compelling narrative that inevitability seeks closure amidst the search for clarity. Written over a year during the lockdowns of 2020, each track becomes a time capsule of distinct feelings and realizations experienced through heartbreak. Produced by Luke Dizon, the EP's production only further weaves the emotional journey, with its reverbnation, and dreamy soundscape.
