Auckland Live is thrilled to announce the return of the hugely popular monthly concert series, Morning Melodies for 2024.
Now in its 23rd year, this vibrant concert series sees a specially curated programme of beloved
local musicians and bands take to the Bruce Mason Centre stage from February through to December. Taking place on Monday mornings, the concerts build community through the universal language of music. Much loved by everyone from retirees to parents
and kids alike, the wide appeal of Morning Melodies includes a free cuppa, a tasty biscuit and a friendly chat before the show.
“I have season tickets... brilliant concerts, coffee and catch up with friends.” - Audience Member
The 2024 programme showcases Auckland’s finest feel-good musical talents, featuring military bands, swing, brass and more. Morning Melodies favourites are back with performances including the Royal New Zealand Navy Band,
Society Jazzmen, and The Band of the Royal Regiment of NZ Artillery.
“The music you brought to us... transported us back. Very emotional experience.” - Audience Member
This year The Up-Doos join the Auckland Live Morning Melodies line-up for the very first time on Monday 8 April. With big hair and even bigger harmonies, The Up-Doos breathe new life into vintage
classics, with a repertoire that pays tribute to the songs of iconic 60’s girl groups. This dynamic vocal trio, who recently opened for Tami Neilson on tour, is made up of performing heavy hitters Aria Jones, Esther Stephens and Liv Tennent, who
are no strangers to Auckland Live stages.
Morning Melodies has become an institution, cultivating a passionate community who return each year, and to each performance, to experience high calibre musicianship and rousing
performances shared with family and friends, all for the price of a cup of coffee.
