Boy Virgo has come together with frequent collaborator Old Pup to create this track. He’s the mastermind behind Virgo’s successful track XTC which charted on the New Zealand iTunes chart and was playlisted on the hyperpop editorial playlist on Spotify.
Knees is simply about being into someone so much and yearning for them so much through lust and desire.
On the song Virgo states, “it’s not super ‘deep’ or super meaningful in the sense of having extreme depth. I love the sounds of 2000’s and 2010’s dance pop. Do they have the most profound lyrics? No, but are they lyrics that stick with you forever because of how amazing and pop they are? Yes. I wanted to create a track that just made you get up and dance and have fun.” He continued “It’s also so much fun world building and ‘knees’ is just the start of the amazing world I have curated for this era.”
The song is packed with catchy and edgy visuals to go along with promotion on all social media and will have a super fun campaign to boost genuine interaction with the song.
