Taking her music in a new direction after a distinct period of personal and musical growth, Cruise is a chill pop track with light, airy vocals and dreamy summer sounds.

“I wanted to create something that captured the physical feeling of being in the summertime - cruising by the beach on a longboard, or taking a road-trip with the windows down. I wanted it to be summer in a song and I feel I have achieved that.”

Written while in Crete, Greece, Cruise conjures up images of Greek islands, blue waters and long warm days. But this track was made specifically with the Southern Hemisphere in mind.

“Cruise is a summer song for New Zealanders and Australians who, I feel, don’t get the summer bangers from Europe or the US hitting at the right time. I wanted to create a soundtrack for summer that people can play in their cars, at their beach barbeques, or make their TikTok holiday montages to.”

Cruise was written and recorded by Holly Wright, produced by Grace Wood, and mastered by Holly Wright.
