New Zealand/Aotearoa metalcore quartet No Life team up with Emmure on their fresh new single Obnoxious. The band will share the new single live on tour in New Zealand later this month.
A cut-throat and aggressive offering from a band with a chip on their shoulder, Obnoxious is unapologetic at its core, calling out 'deadbeats' that leech off of others and carry little respect for those around them. The track
is written, produced and recorded entirely in-house by the band with a mix and master by Ashtone Audio (Kingdom of Giants, Darko).
For fans of metal heavyweights Alpha Wolf, Sworn In, and ten56, Emmure vocalist Frankie Palmeri jumped at the opportunity to lay down a scathing verse on No Life's new heavy-hitter, taking the single from tough to downright crushing.
"With the current state of the world and the climate we find ourselves in, we pull no punches and say what everyone is thinking," tells
vocalist Connor Dickson. "We wanted this track to be abrasive, and we leaned into utilising elements and a soundscape not entirely heard in modern metalcore."
No Life will be backing up their latest release with
a tour across their home country, visiting Valhalla in Wellington Friday May 24, Whammy in Auckland Saturday May 25, The Crown Hotel in Dunedin Friday June 7 and The Embankment Tavern in Christchurch on Saturday June 8. The tour will take main support from The Rising Tide with each show
welcoming local talent to open. Tickets are on sale now.
Forming in 2019, No Life set out to carve a name for themselves with their pummelling blend of metalcore and nu-metal. Putting a fresh spin on the genre, No Life lace their tunes with a healthy mix of aggressive vocals, chaotic riffage, crushing breakdowns, driving electronic moments and fierce instrumental beatdowns.
Their potent mix has drawn eyes from across the globe and has seen No Life support shows with Silent Planet (US) and While She Sleeps (UK) as well as headline a tour across Australia and New Zealand last year supporting the release of their Delinquent EP, which spiked Spotify monthly listeners to over 36,000.
No Life take what they created on Delinquent and level up with Obnoxious - available and streaming everywhere now.
