Jon Toogood Announces First Solo Album 'Last Of The Lonely Gods'

19 July 2024 - 0 Comments

Beloved New Zealand Music Hall of Fame inductee, Jon Toogood, has announced his debut solo album for a release date of 11th October. Pre order here.

In the soulful single out today Gravity we see Jon return to his acoustic guitar, contemplating the crossroad in life – deliberating between where you thought you’d end up versus where you are. Watch the music video now here.

“Losing both parents lead me to thinking a lot about my own mortality which in turn lead to me writing this tune. I’d been hiding away from the world after my mum passed away and was trying to work out what I wanted my life to look like going forward” says Jon, talking to the new single.

“I wrote the tune to help me work some of that out”.

In a nod to his rock roots and history, with its anthemic chorus, stirring hook, and vulnerability Gravity is destined to become a fan favourite. Ready to rock n roll – the countdown to 11th October is on.
