Satellite Media Group is delighted to announce the winner in the second round of the Jim Beam Video Scheme. Once again there was an overwhelming response to the competition with more fine New Zealand talent being exposed to our 6 industry judges.
The winner of this second round couldn't be more different from the winner of the first round. Our judges were blown away by the dedication and energy of this four piece melodic punk band, and the fact that they have just returned from a self funded tour spanning Europe, UK, US, Canada and Australia convinced the judges of their passion.
The winner of the second round of the Jim Bean Video Scheme is Sommerset.
Sommerset's last single 'Streets Don't Close' raised the bands profile in New Zealand and by making a video for their second single, m2 is hoping to help Sommerset become a well known band in New Zealand.
The winning track 'Clutter' is off their critically acclaimed album 'Fast Cars, Slow Guitars' which was released by Sommerset on their own label 'Kafuey'.
Round three started on Friday 28 June 02, with entries closing on Monday 22 July 02.
