Broke Ignites the Stage with New Single 'The Divide' – A Punk Rock Anthem for the Digital Age

11 October 2024 - 0 Comments

Get ready to crank up the volume as New Zealand punk rock band Broke unleashes their highly anticipated single, The Divide today. This hard-hitting track dives deep into the chaos of modern communication, capturing the frustration and fury of a world overwhelmed by divisiveness.

You can belt-out the track Here!

"I must try to see this from your view… you should try to see this from my view’ … All drink the tainted information .. Lies, Lies, Lies ... "

Independently recorded by Broke, mixed and mastered by Scott Seabright Production The Divide serves as a powerful anthem for anyone tired of the toxic online environment where even the simplest disagreements escalate into savage hate fests. With their signature sound, Broke invites audiences to reflect on the impact of divisiveness in our digital age.

Lead guitarist and songwriter Hamish McDonald shares insight into the song’s inspiration: The Divide was sparked by how divisive and toxic social media is around any given topic. We’ve all seen it—what starts as a simple disagreement can turn into a savage hate fest. We wanted to channel that frustration into a song that not only captures that feeling but also encourages listeners to think critically about the conversations they engage in.”

Musically, The Divide showcases Broke's dynamic blend of powerful riffs, driving rhythms, and unapologetic lyrics, ensuring it will be a staple in punk rock playlists. Fans can expect an anthemic chorus that invites them to scream along, uniting in a call for more constructive dialogue in a world often defined by conflict.

Broke will be performing next at Rosemarys, Taupo on Friday 25th October supporting Aussie rockers Hammers.
