Music News - Snakebone release new single 'In Praise of the Sun'

Snakebone’s new single In Praise of the Sun, is a transcendental ode to Ra, the Egyptian deity. With warm beds of organ, warped guitar melodies and a vibrating rhythmic bed of drums and percussion, the song instrumentally tells the story of how the sun god rose from an ocean of chaos to create himself. The song cycles through light and dark, conflict and resolution, culminating in an explosive outro which depicts Ra’s descent into darkness to vanquish the god of the underworld.
Accompanying the release is a music video which portrays a hot, beckoning summer, nostalgic landscapes and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Hailing from Te Whanganui a tara, Snakebone are an instrumental trio composed of Chris Armour on Guitar, Thomas Frirggens on Drumset, and Dayle Jellyman on Organ and Bass.
