West Auckland 4-piece Epakist have come together to produce their self-titled debut EP, something which is poised to make waves in the Aotearoa music scene. A sound they’ve carefully crafted to be high octane, soulful, groovy, and bound to wake the neighbours. Epakist were founded with the goal of creating something absolutely original. It was a careful and painstaking process crafting some unique, and absolutely original.

Drawing on years of industry experience, both local and international. Epakist are built on a wealth of knowledge. Describing their sound as the soundtrack to a threesome between Fu Manchu, Pink Floyd, and The Butthole Surfers, a wild ride is in store for listeners.
Plans for live shows, including an EP release party a well underway. The band will be preforming at a Movember fundraiser on 30th November 2024 at Piha Bowling Club. Featuring appearances from Ghost Town Band and Dog Box, this event will be raising funds for the mental wellness of Piha rangatahi.
Epakist's EP was recorded and mixed at Eden Road Recordings by Marc Chemaly. Co-produced by Epakist and Marc Chemaly, and mastered by Josh Llewellyn at Downbeat Mastering.
