Anika Moa this week became the first New Zealander since RadioScope monitoring began to notch up two Airplay Chart-topping songs as 'Falling In Love Again' upped its spin rate to surpass Shakira & Enrique Iglesias.
Moa's first single, 'Youthful', achieved the same feat in late 2001. The only other local song to dominate the airwaves was Fur Patrol's 'Lydia' in 1999.
Anika Moa is "unquestionably the dominant Kiwi voice on our airwaves" says Warners MD James Southgate, not only reaching #1 on the RadioScope Pop Chart this week, but #2 on both the A/C and Easy Listening Charts.
