Satellite Media Group Ltd and Just Sounds Ltd join forces:
Satellite Media Group, television producers of Space, Squeeze, M2 and publishers of Rip It Up magazine and Sounds Music Group today announced a strategic partnership.
Producing over 20 hours of live music and youth culture television every week, as well as reaching almost 90,000 readers with the Rip It Up, Satellite Media Group is the foremost music and entertainment media company in New Zealand.
As New Zealand's leading music specialist retailer, Sounds needs no introduction, with 57 stores nationwide it is a familiar sight in most towns and cities around New Zealand.
Now the two companies join forces, this will see Selector magazine (Sounds current instore magazine) cease to be published, and instead partially integrated into Rip It Up. Rip It Up magazine will continue to grow as New Zealand's biggest independent music magazine.
Selector will put out its final edition on 01 September 2002. The October/November issue of Rip It Up hits the streets on 02 October.
In addition, Satellite Media Group and Just Sounds Ltd will work together to source new business opportunities across the music media spectrum.
