The Playhouse Cafe in Nelson is ready to open its doors to the public and host touring and local musicians from around the country and world. The cafe is an ex-theatre restaurant with a massive stage lighting and sound setup, lush garden area and artistic inside decor.
Situated just 20 minutes from downtown Nelson on the Motueka Highway, The Playhouse cafe offers a true destination pub atmosphere for both musicians and customers to enjoy. The owner, Nic Roland, aims to provide a platform for original music in the region as well as touring acts passing through the Nelson region.
As an ex theatre restaurant bands should expect to a great treat. A world class lighting rig and premium back stage area set this venue apart from anywhere else in New Zealand. Bands will also be provided with backpacker accommodation on site and looking after from our world class chef. Sunny Nelson is a fantastic place to play in the summer time with an influx of population to the region and perfect climate.
The Playhouse Cafe will be up and running on the 27th of December with a grand reopening in early January. The venue is ready to take booking from bands wanting to play a show in Nelson area, especially groups available this current summer looking to add a last minute date to their tour or just wanting to play a one off.
