New Zealand music fans have cause to celebrate this week as Squeeze, The New Zealand Music show returns from its summer break for its sixth season on air.
The crème of New Zealand music came out to play on a hot summer's night at the Classic in Auckland recently. Squeeze put the beers on and while the bands got drunk and danced to our brand new theme music specially compiled by Timmy Schumacher we filmed them and made some flash new opening titles.
So check out the beginning of Squeeze when it starts back on air this Sunday 26th January and look out for guest appearances from Chris Knox, Rubicon, Carly Binding, Nick D, Elemeno P, Nesian Mystik, Betchadupa, Concord Dawn, Jason Rockpig.. the list goes on.
Hosted for the second year by Jane Yee, Squeeze will continue to be documentary in style focusing on and following all things and all people in the local music scene. For the first month we take a look at the New Zealand summer festival scene around the country.
What better way to kick off the new series than with an in-depth look at last week's Big Day Out. We follow the "Little Day In" winners BOLBOX REX on the lead up to their first BDO appearance. It's going to be an early start if we're going to get them to Ericsson Stadium by 7am!
