Homegrown undeniably kick started the weekend for Wellington’s party scene. With a variety of tasteful music and an admirable atmosphere, the public certainly expressed positive emotions. But one company refused to have the party end before the night was out. With only 3 days before New Zealand’s top artists performed in Wellington, Legend Entertainment contacted the record label Illegal Musik and discussed the opportunity to organise and host an official after party. Illegal Musik were captivated.
Legend Entertainment had gained a previous relationship with The Grand so a prime location had been set. The night attracted a celebrity guest list with names such as, J Williams, Brooke Duff, P Money, David Dallas, Tyson Tyler, K.One, Pieter T, Tomorrow People, Savage, Che Fu, Jason Kerrison, Media People, and all their management teams compiling at the door. The night enhanced with surprise performances from some of the guests with Mark Arona, owner of Illegal Musik, and a member from Ill Semantics, mc’ing the entire night. The constant beat was supplied by Illegal Musik’s very own DJ CXL.
The crowd were wildly lifted off their feet as the performers allowed the public to get involved on stage keep the positive energy flowing. Legend Entertainment founder David aka Black D said “It was a hard working team and the brilliant staff supplied by The Grand that made the night a success.” Amongst great quality staff, The Grand also supplied a unique feature that allowed the performances from inside to be seen via a projector on the streets of Courtenay Place. With great sound and lighting quality, The Grand definitely took Wellington’s party scene to another level and proved to the public their venue is a top contender within the Wellington region.
Legend Entertainment would like to give a close thank you to Illegal Musik and The Grand for the opportunity to host such a unique event and hope the relationship between the three will continue to grow.
