East Coast Vibes returns for the 2nd year and promises to bring more good vibes to Gisborne over Waitangi weekend 2014.
Event director Rob Coe-Tipene promises to deliver a music festival that’s fast gaining traction as a must do event on the Coast. “We’ve tried to secure a lineup of artists that our audience relates to while building on our unique identity, being a music festival with a laid back Tairawhiti - East Coast flavor. Something you can’t get anywhere else in the world” he says.
We're excited to announce Hawaiian reggae band The Green as one of the festivals headline acts, which will be their first ever performance in Te Tairawhiti. And co-headlining Vibes 2014 are Aotearoa’s favourite reggae band 1814.
Australian reggae band Paua will be performing for the first time in Tairawhiti at the festival, and to compliment the lineup we've brought back crowd favorites - Sons of Zion and Tomorrow People.
We're excited to announce established artists Annie Crummer, Che Fu and King Kapisi to the festival. All three artists have careers spanning over a decade or more, and each artist has a catalogue of chart topping hits.
X-Factor finalist Whenua Patuwai, and Mt Zion actor and singer Troy Kingi will be aslo performing at the festival, with both men having close family connections to Te Tairawhiti.
To top it off NZs best selling rap group Smashproof join the bill with pacific reggae favourites Brownhill completes our stellar lineup.
