(Melbourne) SONGS Music Publishing announced today that they have tapped Melbourne/Auckland-based music publisher Native Tongue to administer their roster of songwriters in Australia and New Zealand, after a heavily competitive process. The deal includes SONGS’ most recent signing, Lorde, aka Ella Yelich-O’Connor, whose debut album and single are major hits in the artist’s native New Zealand and in Australia.

They own their own business and make music calls as they see them. We are thrilled to have teamed up with them to maximize the opportunities for all of our writers in Australia and New Zealand.”

We are very proud to be associated with such a progressive company and to be the local representative for such an incredibly talented roster of writers and artists. We, of course, are particularly excited to be playing our small part in working with Ella in her home country as part of the SONGS team.”
