FuZen Entertainment, Convoy Unlimited and Konkrete Agency present:
DUB FX AND OPIUO ALBUM TOUR
With support from Buck Rogers and Dylan C
April 12 2014, The Studio -340 Karangahape Road
Worldwide loop-station artist DUB FX and fun fuelled electro music genius OPIUO are making their way back to Auckland, April 12.
FuZen Entertainment couldn't pass up the chance to bring Northern Bass star Dub FX back to Auckland to celebrate the release of his new album Theory of Harmony.
Designed to take listeners on an eclectic journey through conscious, soulful bass music and drawing on inspiration from his endless performances worldwide, the album stays true to the unique Dub FX live sound.
Funded by a wildly successful crowd funding campaign, the album features a host of collaborations with vocalists and musicians including Tiki Taane from NZ and Eva Lazarus from the UK. A video will be made for every song on the album and every song will be remixed from a list of A-class producers worldwide.
OPIUO is New Zealand's own funky electronic wonder. With a new album due in March, Opiuo is never one to be stick doing the same old thing. From a one man show equipped with drum machines and synths, all the way to the Opiuo band, amassing a collection of the world's best musicians to perform his music 100% live.
He's remixed world-renowned iconic artists from Kimbra to Pretty Lights, KOAN Sound to Infected Mushroom. Most recently his music was #1 on Hype Machine, ranking it the most popular song on the blogs.
Aucklanders need no introduction to our very own BUCK ROGERS! After a solid decade as drum and bass loving Bugsy, Buck Rogers was created to expand the record crate to incorporate all styles. From there it has been onwards and upwards for Buck Rogers, moving on a voyage that will see explorations throughout all realms of electronic music incorporating Funk, Hip Hop, Glitch, Drum and Bass and Dubstep.
DYLAN C is BaseFM's own Breakfast show host, DJ and Programme Director. While known for his down-tempo and hip hop sets, Dylan C also relishes the chance to play a heavier sound, taking in everything from old school drum and bass and 90's trip-hop, through to future beats and deep dub-step flavours.
