Bottling the good stuff – Aeroplane releases 'Beck’s New New Zealand Music'
Aeroplane Music in conjunction with Beck’s NZ is excited to announce the release of a new compilation album entitled Beck’s New New Zealand Music on May 2nd.
As part of NZ Music Month celebrations, Beck’s NZ has commissioned 10 of NZ’s musical talents to write and record a new song to be included in this exciting new collection. In a musical climate rife with streaming and illegal downloads, it has become increasingly difficult for musicians to raise funds to record. Beck’s NZ has commissioned these tracks without any artistic restrictions - a generous gesture indeed.
Managing director of Aeroplane Music, Jan Hellriegel said “What appealed to me about this project was that Beck’s showed their support for NZ artists by giving them what they really need – resources to create.”
Participating artists include Lawrence Arabia, The Phoenix Foundation, Ghost Wave, Janine & the Mixtape, Little Bark and emerging acts Two Wolves, Doprah, Third3ye, Ash Graham and SuperVillans RMC.
'Beck’s New New Zealand Music' album will be available for purchase via all digital music platforms on May 2nd but punters will also be able to hear each track from the album on a series of playable music posters located at various sites around the country.
