HOWIE MORRISON TRIO

Featuring Howie Morrison Jnr, Russell Harrison and Chris Powley the HMT take their audiences down memory lane with a mix of nostalgic toe-tapping, sing-along tunes that were made famous by the Howard Morrison Quartet.

MORGAN EVANS

Singer/songwriter Morgan Evans is one of the hottest young performers in Australian country. He has just released his self-titled debut album and has toured with international superstars like Taylor Swift and Alan Jackson - playing to over 50,000 people in Nashville at the world’s biggest country music festival. In 2013, Morgan was awarded the New Oz Artist of the Year award at the CMC Music Awards. His music is driven by an optimism shaped by life’s bumpy journey, a faith in the power of love and hard work to overcome the obstacles we all face every day.

PAT & BRENDAN DUGAN

Known as ‘The Godfather of Country Music’, Pat Dugan first sang at the Christchurch Civic Theatre at the age of 10 and now at over 80 years of age he still has a strong and wonderful voice. In 1990 he was awarded a QSM for his services to country music. Apart from singing and teaching music, Pat also won the New Zealand finals for Atlantic Plough Competition and joined his father in trotting horse breeding industry. Asked if he would like to pass any tips to others, he replied, "A smile costs nothing but makes a lot of people happy”. In 2012 Pat & his son Brendan Dugan were inducted into the Hands of Fame at the NZ Gold Guitar Awards.

LESLEY NIA NIA

Gisborne country music singer Lesley Nia Nia and her song Broken Wing took a hat-trick of awards at the 2014 New Zealand Country Music Star Awards in Tauranga — Songwriter, Senior Gospel and Senior Overall winner. Lesley performed at the 2014 Golden Guitar Awards and guested on the very popular My Maori Songbook television series hosted by Dennis Marsh.

CAMERON SCOTT

Cameron Scott began competing in country music competitions when he was in secondary school and in 2009 opened for Christchurch’s International Rodeo, singing to an audience of several thousand people. He has won awards at the Southern Alps Country Music Awards, the Caroline Bay Talent Quest, the Gold Guitars, the Sun City Country Music Awards, and in 2013, he won the Horizon Award at the National Country Music Awards. Recently Cameron took home two awards at the Norfolk Island Trans-Tasman Entertainer Competition (including one for Best Original Song!) and is recording his debut EP - due for release in late 2014.

SARAH CONLAN

Sarah Conlan is a singer/songwriter based in the beautiful Mackenzie Basin. She is a multi-award-winning singer whose awards include the NZ Smokefree Rockquest Lyricist Award and, with her own composition, the winner of the South Island Music Awards. Her song Soaring High was chosen to be the NZ Special Olympics 2013 National Summer Games anthem.

DANIEL COSGROVE

An avid guitarist, Daniel Cosgrove’s music is often described as guitar driven country rock. His main inspiration is virtuosic country vocalist/guitarist Brad Paisley. In 2010 Dan was a nominee for the Horizon Award at the National Country Music Awards and in 2011 Dan was awarded the Best Instrumentalist at the NZ Gold Guitar Awards in Gore. Dan has his own CD which was launched earlier this year and represented New Zealand at the Norfolk Island Country Music Festival in May.

CAMERON LUXTON

2013 X-Factor NZ contestant Cameron Luxton is a Galatea dairy farmer with a musical talent that has won him many awards including the junior section at the 2006 Gold Guitar Awards in Gore. He has played Tamworth and toured twice nationally with the Topp Twins.
