TV2 presenter, Dominic Bowden , will host NZ Idol , the TV phenomenon that will premiere on TV2 in early 2004.
Bowden, who co-presented TV2's cult music show Space , and fronted the 2001 New Zealand Music Awards , was an obvious choice for the role, says NZ Idol executive producer, Andrew Shaw.
"Dominic has established himself as one of our most versatile and talented presenters. With his background in music television, experience in fronting live broadcasts, his energy and enthusiasm, he immediately stood out as the perfect fit for NZ Idol."
Bowden's role will include interviewing the NZ Idol contestants before and after they perform, presenting behind-the-scenes glimpses of the competition, and being a confidante to the contenders.
NZ Idol has become one of the most talked about events in New Zealand television history. Bowden will share with contestants their once-in-a-lifetime journey as they compete for the coveted title of NZ Idol.
