With the Julie Lamb Band
Celebrate the launch of Julie Lamb’s much anticipated third album, When We Hang Out, with a free live performance on Sunday 19 October at Wellington’s San Fran on Cuba Street.
Prominent Wellington musician, Julie Lamb, presents When We Hang Out, a collection of eleven rock, funk and punk songs, including eight of her new originals. It follows her two internationally acclaimed and award winning albums Most and Least and Trippin’ the Light. While almost entirely rock-centric When we Hang Out stays true to Julie’s intricately crafted 70s style vibe. The songs are instantly likeable but also have the slow-burning endurance that will bring ongoing delight to the listener.
Celebrate the launch with the 11-piece Julie Lamb Band as it performs this captivating new album, along with acapella group 10dd singing the title song When we Hang Out.
"A bit pleased," Julie says of her new album in an understated kiwi kind of way. “So we'd like to share 11 newly recorded songs in a neatly packaged manner, at a slightly less neatly packaged event, at a family friendly time and place. Come and hang out with us! (See what I did there?)”
The album launch is a free event but you can donate in the tins provided to Breast Cancer Network NZ; 10% of album sales will also be going to that organisation.
The album will be available to purchase at the launch on CD and download cards; and on iTunes from 19th October.

Meet the band 2pm. Listen to the album 2.30 to 3.30 then hang out for a drink.
