AUSTRALIAN & NZ STARS COVER THEIR FAVOURITE DISNEY CLASSICS JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!
NEW ALBUM WE LOVE DISNEY OUT NOVEMBER 14

A selection of Australia and New Zealand’s best recording artists pay homage to Disney’s long-cherished soundtracks with We Love Disney. An eclectic collection of iconic Disney songs reimagined by artists with a passion for Disney’s music. The album is released November 14th, through Universal Music Australia and Walt Disney Records.

Featuring Dannii Minogue, Sol3 Mio, Kimbra, The McClymonts, Kate Miller-Heidke, Anja Nissen, Fatai, Harrison Craig, David Campbell, Little Sea, Titanium, Mustered Courage and more - this exciting release combines artists from all areas of Australia’s contemporary music scene each contributing their unique interpretation of a Disney song.

The McClymonts breathe country flair and their signature harmonies into Frozen’s Let It Go, “We chose Let It Go as it took us out of our comfort zone. It was a big song and we wanted the challenge. We added The McClymonts sound to it while trying to maintain the Essence and melody of the original.”

David Campbell swings I Wan’na Be Like You from The Jungle Book while opera trio Sol3 Mio brings fresh allure to Beauty And The Beast.

On We Love Disney, each artist chose a track that resonated with them. Titanium chose to cover You’ll Be In My Heart from Tarzan: “Other than the fact that it was written by Phil Collins, we heard a great rendition of it by Usher in 2001 and we loved it! Also TK, one of the band members auditioned with this song when we formed Titanium.“

Harrison Craig chose a song that he could relate to personally. “Go The Distance comes from the movie Hercules, which to me is a story of triumph, perseverance, and strength. Key traits I find in myself that have stayed with me from the first moment I watched this movie and felt the emotion it portrayed.”

“Walt Disney’s legacy of iconic storytelling through song continues to inspire and hold meaning for fans all over the world.  We’re delighted to have outstanding Australian and New Zealand artists deliver their version of these timeless classics” said Walt Disney Company Australia CMO Kylie Watson-Wheeler.
