Diamond Doll Bring In The New Year With ‘Dumb’

06 January 2015 - 0 Comments

Diamond Doll brought the new year in with a bang by releasing their new single Dumb on January 5, 2015.

The single was recorded in Napier by Nick Blow (Come To Dolly, Desbot) at Sister Lung Productions. Dale Cotton (Audioworkshop) added his final mastering touch.

This is Diamond Doll’s second single release. Shortly after forming in 2010, the band released their first single Consume. The video for Consume has done exceptionally well on social media, with over 14,000 views on youtube since its release.

The band comments,“The success of the video for Consume was our incentive to create a video for Dumb. We were filmed recording in Nick’s studio with the help of local photographer Cat (Sutherland) to create an accompanying video that enhances the delivery of the message of our new track”.

The Dumb video was released a month earlier than the official release date of the audio track and has already had a great response.

Diamond Doll’s New Year resolution is to work on a new set of songs for a full album release, and are looking to get some more miles under their belt touring the country.
