Out are excited to announce the digital release of The Other's Way, A Compilation.
Throughout 2014, Flying
Out ran a series of shows every
first Thursday of the month at Auckland's The Wine
Cellar titled The
Other's Way (named after that great Double Happys song).
With today being the first Thursday of February 2015, Flying Out have
decided to release a 30-track compilation featuring a song from each of
the bands that performed at The
Other's Way last year.
The compilation is available as a free download for the next month to all our newsletter
subscribers, and to any one who attends our first The Other's
Way Show for 2015, on March 5 (The Wine Cellar, Auckland).
Featuring a wide range of genres, from electronica, hip-hop, indie rock, punk
and even a comedy piece, The
Other's Way, A Compilation is a great showcase of some of
the best New Zealand music to be released last year, as well as some brand new
and unreleased tracks. Full track listing below.
"I'm incredibly
proud of how The
Other's Wayevolved over 2014, especially considering the idea had its start from a
afternoon jacuzzi with the lads." Event Organiser Zac
Arnold explains.
"The experiment of
combining bands from throughout the diaspora of Auckland + NZ music
scenes, with free food and cheap liquor has worked. Even donation entry was a
success. Once I am done patting myself on the back until I'm red raw I will begin
to look forward to what 2015 will bring."
