Legendary New Zealand
rock band Hello Sailor will celebrate their 40th year in the
business of rock and roll with a show at Auckland’s Powerstation on Friday 18th
September.
It's an evening that is set to commemorate many great things for the band and
front-man Graham Brazier is looking forward to getting back up on that stage
"I can't wait to play this show at Auckland's greatest rock venue the
Powerstation with some of our oldest mates. It's sad that Dave's not here to
join in the celebration but we are always thinking of him and his presence
lives on in Sailor’s music."
Onstage and alongside Sailor on the evening is the Band of Brothers, a
supergroup comprising of some of their earliest musical comrades. Band of
Brothers will unite for the evening to perform a full set of some of New
Zealand's best-loved and best-known songs drawn from their respective bands.
Hello Sailor guitarist Harry Lyon is excited to get together with some
of his oldest friends "These guys have been around since we were all in
flares. Having them as part of our 40th anniversary show is such an honour and
I couldn't think of a more talented group of friends to enjoy the night
with."
The evening will run over two sets with both bands combining at
the end of the night for the ultimate 40th Anniversary finale!!
You’d be a fool to miss this one.
