Wellington's Matterhorn Club and Radio Active 89FM are to host the second annual MPC Heavyweight Championship of the World - proving that it ain't the old days anymore, and you don't need to play guitar to make music.
The MPC (Midi Production Centre) is an 'all-in-one sequencer, sampler, controller, drum machine, portable studio', and the showdown by some of its best local exponents, is designed to expose the black box's hidden capabilities.
The March 5 event will feature championship contenders:

* Ricky "Fast Hands" Gooch (TrinityRoots drummer)
