Bic Runga has seen 200 metres of clear space ahead of her, indicated for three secodns and overtaken Split Enz - to set a new chart record.

Beautiful Collision has now been on the New Zealand Albums chart for 81 weeks and been certified 8x platinum - making it the longest running New Zealand album on the charts ever.
It takes the record off Split Enz and their True Colours album.

Bic relocated to Paris last year and has been busy touring and promoting the album throughout Europe ever since. She returns next month, however, for a Median Strip interview... oh, and a nationwide acoustic tour.
