Auckland-based
soundscape guitarist and composer Arli is excited to announce a record deal with Marigold Music, with his sophomore
album Fata Morgana due
out through the label on Friday 9 October.
Following on from the release of his debut self-titled album in November 2013, Fata Morgana will
showcase another side to Arli’s artistic spectrum as he moves towards a more ambient release.
The perfect chill-out album or accompaniment to meditation, the fusion album
blends Arli’s Middle
Eastern heritage and Western influences to create a relaxing soundscape using
guitar, loops and pedals.
Originally from Israel, Arli’s background is as interesting as it is diverse.
Having played in one of the Middle East’s first bands made up of both
Palestinian and Israeli musicians and performed on the revered stages of the Montreux Jazz Festival,Global Peace
Festival and Russia’s
Creation of Peace Festival, the multi-faceted artist’s story is
both unique and intriguing.
His music is equally captivating. Seamlessly bringing together world
influences, Arli’s music traverses across alternative jazz to instrumental rock
and fearless, ambient music – with the new record focusing on the latter.
Captivating crowds through his electrifying, multi-genre-bending performances,
Arli’s distinctive style, incredible talent and ability to read and respond to
the audience makes him an act not to miss at the Sunshine Coast’s upcoming Wanderlust Festival.
Performing live as part of yoga and meditation classes alongside jam sessions
and full solo set, Arliwill celebrate the release of his sophomore album at the three-day Sunshine
Coast event on October 15-18.
