Fresh from a stint in the US, Kiwi favourites Six60 have announced that they’ll be back on the road this Summer, hitting a bunch of your favourite holiday spots, plus a few special inner city locations, in a summer tour that begins at Butlers Reef, Oakura on Boxing Day and wraps up at Villa Maria Winery in Auckland on 16 January.
Two summer concert dates have been previously announced with a massive response - New Year’s Eve at Cathedral Square and the Villa Maria Winery concert, and the extra dates have been scheduled in response to online demand from fans following the announcement of the first two concerts.
Six60’s Marlon Gerbes says he’s looking forward to getting on the road in summer after the band and fans braved the winter chill for their last tour in May, which attracted over 30,000 punters.
“Six60 tours are traditionally during the summer and we’re excited about heading home and performing all over New Zealand, with a few days off in between shows to check out some of our favourite parts of the country.”
“It’s great that Diaz Grimm will be coming with us on all the new dates as support. He’s a real talent to watch and we think the crowds will love what he brings to the shows.”
Tickets will sell fast to a tour that promises all the Six60 hits and perhaps even the chance to hear what they’ve been working on in studio with Pharrell Williams.
If you missed out in May, here’s your second chance to hear from one of New Zealand’s most popular live acts as they
celebrate their 30th week in the NZ album charts.
