Through a double love for both writing tunes and surfing around the world Cut Snake’s Paul “Fish” Fisher and Leigh “Sedz” Sedley have developed a totally unique persona and sound. From the sun swept shores of Australia to the dark nightclubs of Hollywood, their range of experiences have instilled a duplicitous nature to their production.
After two killer tracks earlier this year that have been supported by the likes of KCRW and Triple J, Cut Snake are ready to make their debut EP, Life's A Beach, set for release November 6th on Warner Bros Records and featuring cover art by Australian native Jamie Browne.
The boys have given fans a first taste of Life's A Beach with a teaser of Echo. The track combines a deep rolling bassline with sultry vocals - reimagining their beachside style and placing it in the center of a 3am dancefloor. Listen to the track here. 2015 has proved momentous for Paul and Leigh with a string of massive releases like Face Down and Jungle Shrimp plus a ridiculous showing on Holy Ship, and a 15 stop Australian / & New Zealand Tour.
In celebration of the EP Cut Snake are headed out on a 5 stop North American Tour touching down at CRSSD Festival and Bang Bang in San Diego, Webster Hall in New York, Audio in San Francisco, and EOS Lounge in Santa Barbara. The boys are also travelling back down-under for a series of shows across Australia and New Zealand, including stops in Wollongong, Bali, Fiji, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Queenstown, Auckland, Raglan, and Gisborne.
What spawned from a pure love for music and a good time has exploded into a jam packed touring calendar and a fun loving cult following for the Cut Snakeboys. Their balls out attitude and vibe-minded production has ushered in a modern take on party-ready House music helping to develop a new generation of 4/4 loving deviants. So crack a beer and dip those toes in the sand because ‘Life’s a Beach’.
