New
Zealand’s hot spots are about to get
hotter as Katchafire
and Sons Of Zion team up for a sizzling summer tour.
Katchafire is back on home turf after spreading their message of love, peace and whanau to
all corners of the planet. These troubadours of Pacific Spirit have been wowing
audiences in Brazil, California and Las Vegas garnering five star reviews with
comments like, “the
audience skanked their hearts out” and “one of the most harmonious show environments I’ve
ever been in”, after rocking the House Of Blues with a sold-out
show. They’ve earned their reputation as New Zealand’s hardest touring
band with guitarist and vocalist Logan Bell confirming, “That’s just the way we
do it!”
Joining Katchafire this summer are Auckland’s Sons Of Zion, sporting a new line-up
and powered by their latest single I’m
Ready. The boys have been laying down fresh tracks at Roundhead
studios and are just about ready to drop their second album.
Joining Katchafire
and Sons Of Zion on select dates are Kora, Ladi6 and The
Black Seeds.
Kora kick off the tour at the Black Barn in Napier for a sure fire sell-out opening
night while Ladi6graces the stage in the Coromandel at the Coroglen Tavern on the 27th.The Black Seeds will help ring in the New Year at Riwaka Hotel in Motueka and continue on
playing Butler’s Reef in New Plymouth on January 2nd. Kora get back on
the caravan for two final shows in Opononi & Mangawhai making this tour a
guaranteed funky reggae party.
