Ginny Blackmore Set To Release Highly Anticipated Debut Album 'Over The Moon' December 4

11 November 2015 - 0 Comments

New Zealand singer-songwriter Ginny Blackmore will release her highly anticipated debut album Over The Moon via Sony Music on December 4.

Blazing a trail of chart and airplay glory, the album features her debut #1 double-platinum selling single Bones, the platinum selling #1 duet with Stan Walker Holding You which was the Most Played NZ song of 2014, gold selling SFM, summer stunner Love Me Anyway and her most recent stroke of brilliance, Under My Feet.

Having previously written songs for Christina Aguilera, Adam Lambert and Nicole Scherzinger, Ginny has now collaborated with award-winning, international producers Tricky Stewart (Beyonce, Rihanna) Al Shux (Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg), Rob Wells (Paloma Faith, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande), Step Manahan (Busta Rhymes, Christina Aguilera) and Alan Nglish (Cee Lo Green) to craft her debut that she says is “100% my own flavour!”.

The album is a bona fide Pop/R&B affair that combines the ultramodern feel of R&B slow-jams, which Blackmore loves so much, and her unmatched powerhouse voice.

“I made the album I wanted to make. I'm stubborn like that!” she says of the process which saw her completely immersed, from self-penned lyrics, engineering her own vocals and mixing tracks. “It's my perspective on love and life, it’s as honest as I could make it".
