While sounding like instructions on drug use - do not be fooled. The fresh new single How To Get High from Tali is actually her commentary on a lot of popular music today.
"I feel like I hear so many tracks on the radio talking about getting high, how they or their friends are getting wasted to 'numb the pain', or drug references that are hidden within metaphors" Tali explains. “I'm certainly not judging people on what they do recreationally; I am just a bit tired and bored by these references. It almost feels like these people know how to get high - but they don't know how to experience - and then write about - genuine relationships, with all their hopes and heartaches. I also have found myself in situations where I have fallen in love with someone who is more obsessed with their drug use than with making our relationship work. This also helped drive the focus of the track"
With production from Sam De Jong (Stan Walker, Ginny Blackmore), How To Get High is an uplifting yet heart-breaking track, with emotive lyrics, and layered orchestral production, all driven by crunching seductive electronic beats.
